Obituary of Elsie M. Neidert

Elsie Neidert, currently residing at Altercare of Hartville, formerly of Cardinal Retirement Village and 2063 South Main St, Akron, passed away on July 4, 2007. Elsie had a lot of responsibilities during her 92 years and 7 months of life- Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, she did well at all of these jobs and we who shared her life were very proud of her. Mom said almost every day " I can't believe I'm 92 !" Elsie took great pride in working in her Dad's grocery store (Papp Brothers on W. Bartges St) when she was young, waking up at 5am and working a 12 hour day, 6 days a week. Even today she woke up early and she always said- " I wake up early now because I got up so early to go to the store to work and I just can't change". She also worked part-time at Cain's and Martin's Catering companies just to keep busy. Somewhere along the line she also found time to become a St Thomas Hospital Volunteer and put in untold hours. Elsie was proud of her Hungarian heritage and she still could converse in Hungarian when the need arose. She was a member of Sacred Heart Hungarian Church where she was in the Ladies Guild and the Kugluf Baking Group. While living at Cardinal Village she was a member of the Resident Council. Elsie liked to laugh and enjoy life and everyone would joke with her and have a good time----she liked to have a good time. Elsie's Husband, Christopher Sherman Neidert predeceased her, along with Her first husband John B. Tarr, Mom, and Dad, Amelia and Paul Papp, as well as her three Brothers, Frank, Ernie and Paul. She leaves her Sons, Paul J. Tarr (Spouse Harriett Sue); and Christopher H. Neidert (Spouse Jessie). Four Grandchildren P. John Tarr (Spouse Nan), Richard Tarr (Helen) Brian Neidert (Spouse Tami) and Julie Neidert (Dale). She also leaves two Great-Grand Sons, Dylan Tarr and Anderson Neidert and Great-Grand Daughter, Avery Neidert. She also leaves many Nieces and Nephews, their Children, Cousins, Second Cousins, and many Friends. Elsie will be missed, a lot. A Special Thanks to all the Staff, Nurses (especially Rick), all the Caregivers (especially Susan) of Altercare of Hartville, who took special care of our Mom these past several years.
