Obituary of Lowell Thomas Lambert

Tom Lambert Tom Lambert, wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend, died peacefully with his family around him on Wednesday, June 27, after a short, terrible struggle with lung cancer. Born in Wayne, Wv in a log cabin on February 5, 1940, Tom lived most of his life in Akron and Canal Fulton. He served 8 years in the US Army military police, rising to the rank of Sergeant (E5) and earning a sharpshooter medal and a commendation medal for service in Vietnam. He spent 31 years with Ford Motor Company at the Walton Hills Stamping Plant. He was a proud member of UAW Local 420. He loved his motorcycles, most recently his Harley-Davidson Sportster. He also loved sports. Give him a Cleveland Indians, a Cavaliers, or, especially, a Browns game to watch, and he was happy. He also loved watching his son pitch lefty. He enjoyed seeing his friends from Ford and the neighborhood, and the many family get-togethers. We will all greatly miss his humor and teasing. Preceded in death by mother Cathlene, brother Jeff, and father-in-law Arthur Bernstein, he is survived by his immediate family, loving wife Penny Bernstein Lambert and son Christopher J.H. Lambert, of whom he was exceedingly proud. He took wonderful care of his wife and son, and they are forever grateful for the time they had with him. In addition, he is survived by his loving father, Clyde, wonderful sisters, Beverly Sue and Cindy, his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and in-laws Grace, Lory, Al, Larry, Mickey and Sandy. Calling hours will be Sunday, July 1, from 2-5pm at Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd. (corner of Steese and Massillon Roads in Green). Funeral services will be Monday, July 2, at the Funeral home with interment at Greenlawn Cemetery. A reception will follow at Tom's home in Canal Fulton.
