Obituary of Paul Charles Nauer

Paul C. Nauer, 83, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007. He was born in Akron and had been an Akron resident his entire life. He was employed by BF Goodrich as a stationary engineer for over 34 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Paul was a veteran of the US Navy during W.W.II serving aboard the USS O'Hara and has since enjoyed attending O'Hara reunions annually. His life revolved around his faith, family and home. He was always available to help anyone with any remodeling project or home repair and would lend a tool to anyone, as long as you brought it back. Paul is survived by his wife Ann (nee Beskitt) and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 6, 2007. He leaves his children and their spouses Donna and Rich Magner of Conn., Dorothy and John Dies of Green, John and Debbie Nauer of Akron, Vonny and Rod Herstich of Uniontown, Susan and Dr. Matthew Norcia of Pepper Pike and Karen and Pierce Richardson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother Edward of Akron; sisters Earlene Szeles of Ak, Ruth Nauer of Akron and Sr. Dorothy Nauer, IHM of Mich.; 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and was preceded in death by his grand daughter Melissa and brothers Richard, Gerald and Donald. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at The Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 95 W. Waterloo Rd. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:30am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery with Military Honors.
