Obituary of Hazel Irene Dye

Hazel Irene Dye, 86, passed away June 19, at Mercy Hospital in Tiffin, OH. Born in Artemas, PA in 1921, Hazel had been an area resident since 1937. She had formerly worked for The Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. Since moving to the area, Hazel was a faithful attendant of The Harvest Baptist Temple in Clyde, Ohio. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Harry in 2003; sisters Rilda Smith, Vada Martin, and Adna Jay; grandson Brian Brown. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Don Steffens of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and LeAnn and William Brown of Clyde, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law Martha and George Reynolds of Stow; brothers and sisters-in-law Guy and Marylou Jay of Maryland, Dale and Lucille Jay of Akron, and Richard and Linda Jay of North Canton; grandchildren Buddy Burgy, Jyl (Jeff) Ellmaker, Craig (Corrie) Brown, Scott Steffens, and granddaughter-in-law Christine Brown; great-grandchildren Sierra, Cameron, Brayden, Trinity Brown, and Baby Ellmaker; step-grandchildren Briana and BJ Biles. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 pm at The Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 95 W. Waterloo Rd. Akron, OH 44319. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
