Obituary of Freda Alderman

Green- Freda L. Alderman, 76, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Akron City Hospital. She was born in Replete, W.Va. and had been an area resident since 1950. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 555 where she would waitress and help with the Euchre tournaments. She was active in the Eagle's REAC. She was proud to become a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church last December. Mrs. Alderman is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert; children Judy (Gary) Gill of Fairlawn, Nancy Halter of Colorado, Robert (Anne) Alderman of Green and Karen (Kenny) Cooper of Ellet; grandchildren Eric (Rachel) Gill, Kim (Scott) Humphries, Lisa and Jennifer Gill, Jeffrey and Dane Halter, Amanda, Katie, Carly and Andrea Alderman; great grandchildren Emily Gill and Drew Humphreys; brothers and sisters Denzil Chipps, Coy (Nellie) Chipps; Arita Belle Anderson and Melvin (Sharon) Chipps; and was preceded in death by her parents Elmer Lane and Myrtie (Cowger) Chipps, and sisters Mae and Opal. The family will receive friends Monday 5 to 8pm at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds. in Green) . Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30am at the funeral home, and 10:00am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
