Obituary of Joan Patricia Molohosky

Pat Molohosky, 79, passed away at home on January 23, as the result of a stroke suffered in 2010. Born in Akron on September 27, 1932, Pat had been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from both North High School and the Akron City Hospital School of Nursing, where she became a Registered Nurse. She retired from Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital, where she worked as a charge nurse in the ER. She was a member of St Nicholas Orthodox Church as well as the Eagles Aerie #555. Pat was preceded in death by her son Mark Ivan and daughter Mary Susan, as well as her brother John Powell. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Walter of Akron; sons David of Green and Walter of San Diego, CA; daughter Tanya Molohosky of Akron; grandchildren Alexandra Molohosky, Robert, Adam, & Ryan Garrett, and Olivia & Max Duckworth (Molohosky); sister Mary Maus of Sacramento, CA. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the nurses and staff at the Harbor Light Hospice, especially RN Danita & nurse's aide Kelly, for the compassionate care that was given to their wife and mother. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Parastas will take place at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be conducted by Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky on Saturday, at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, where Pat will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery.

Visitation

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Parastas will take place at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be conducted by Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky on Saturday, at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, where Pat will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
