Obituary of William Megivern

William Megivern, 54, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 while attending a Cleveland Browns football game. William was born June 1, 1955 to Francis and Mary (Carley) Megivern in Binghamton, N.Y. He grew up in Pennsylvania, lived in Florida and recently moved to Akron to teach at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel School. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and a frequent server at Mass. William is survived by his uncles, Fr. Leo Carley and James Carley; Aunt Margaret (William) Werner; siblings, Gerald, Kevin, James, Joseph, Maryann, and Nancy. A Requiem High Mass will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 2935 Chenoweth Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312. Interment will take place at St. Cecilia Cemetery in Honesdale, Pa. The family will receive friends TONIGHT, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. following the calling hours.
