Obituary of Irene Cosgrove

-CLINTON Irene Cosgrove, 92, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2014. Born in Akron on May 7, 1921 to the late Alexander & Elizabeth Petho, Irene had lived in Clinton since 1932. She was a graduate of the former Clinton High School. Irene was an avid bowler and card player. Irene was a world traveler and was proud to have visited her native Hungary, even meeting relatives there. She was preceded in death by her husband Adrian in 1976 and her sister Elizabeth. She is survived by her children Irene Watt, Diana DiRocco, & Bruce Cosgrove of California; grandchildren David (Dena) & Joseph (Nelda) DiRocco and Deidre & Stephen (Michelle) Watt; 9 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their thanks to Hospice of Summa, especially Michael, and caregivers Barb & Emma for the compassionate care given to Irene. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral will take place on Friday, 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Manchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa 444 N.
