Obituary of Kathleen Cater

Kathleen (Kitty) Cater, 64, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at Akron City Hospital. She was born in Akron and was employed by the City of Akron. Kitty attended Liberty Tabernacle in Barberton, loved Elvis, was an enthusiastic sports fan-especially for all of the Cleveland teams and enjoyed doing puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Margaret (Brigham) MacBride; brother, John Patrick MacBride; sister-in-law, Becki Akers; and cousin, Barb Rowland. She is survived by her children, Kelly and Michael Cater; and their father, Chuck; sisters, Maureen, Gloria and Sharon MacBride; brothers, Charles (Helen), Donald and Michael (Karen) MacBride; and grandchildren, Brandon, Brook, Troy and Nonny. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Tabernacle, 475 Frank Ave. Barberton, Ohio 44203 where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service.
