Obituary of John Anthony Kuzemchak
John Anthony Kuzemchak, 92, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2013 in Winter Haven, Florida.
He was born in Wolf Run, Ohio, came to Akron in 1940 and moved to Florida in 1998. He retired from the McNeil and NRM Corporation in 1982 after 42 years of service. Mr. Kuzemchak was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Akron and St. Nectarios Orthodox Church in Lakeland, FL. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Pacific during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Olga (Halkovich); brothers Sam, Metro, Wally and Michael; and sisters Helen Wilsac and Ann Christ. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Sharf); daughters, Donna (John) Kriniske, Olga (Myron) VanDerlin and Elizabeth (David) Blood; and sister Mary Marzuk; 7 grandchildren; 9 great- grandchildren
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Very Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery with U.S. Navy Military Honors. The family will receive friends Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home where a Parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Nectarios Orthodox Church, 405 Marcum Rd., Lakeland, FL 33809.
