Obituary of Frank Morris Longo

Frank went to be with his Lord and Savior June 24, 2017 after his battle with cancer.

Frank was born November 4, 1946 in Canton, OH. He grew up in Waynesburg and graduated from Sandy Valley High school in 1964. He then went into the Army and became a Paratrooper serving in the 101 airborne divisions. Frank attended Kent State University and also graduated from the Canton Police Academy. He was a sergeant on the Perry Police Department until 1978. He then went to work as a salesman/manager for Environmental Chemical leaving there after 34 years. He started a new career at Progressive Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler, being one of their top salesman and floor managers. Frank retired in December 2015. He had an awesome drive, a great personality and never knew a stranger, all who knew him, loved him.

Frank leaves behind the love of his life, Elaine, to whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage. He was a wonderful father and will be greatly missed by his son, Frank Morris (Kristen) Longo II of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, daughters, Tonya Sue (David) Redmond of Perry Township, Renee Michelle (Jeffrey) Vaughan of Uniontown. Frank loved his grandchildren, Nathan, Seth Redmond, Tanner and JJ Vaughan.

Frank is preceded in his death by, his stepfather, Ray Mutigli, father, Frank Lawrence Longo. He is survived by his mother, Etta Mutigli of Waynesburg, siblings, Pam (Jeff) Emrich, Richard (Martha) Longo, Renato Mutigli, Karen (Greg) Maust.

Frank was a one of a kind, always had a way with words, which could always bring a smile to your face. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and loved to talk "football". Frank was a member of the McKinley Eagles of Perry Township and an active member of Queen of Heaven Parish.

A special thanks to the doctors and staff at Aultman Hospital for their outstanding care, especially "Jill".
