Obituary of James Sylvester Boyd

James S. Boyd, 68, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2017.

 Born in Greenville, SC on February 25, 1949 to the late S.V. & Virdie (Lewers) Boyd, James grew up in Cleveland and had lived in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 15 years.  He had previously worked for Fisher Body, the VA Medical Center, and most recently, the Harris-Seagal Co.  James was a member of the Cuyahoga Valley Church in Broadview Heights.

 James is survived by his beloved wife Gloria; sons Walter, Lovell, & Shawn Boyd; niece Laren Smith; grandchildren Joel Holloway-Boyd, Adonis Boyd, Phoebe Boyd & Miles Boyd; great-grandchild Johlon Holloway; brothers Napoleon Boyd & Arthur Boyd; a host of other nieces and nephews.

 A funeral service will take place on Monday, June 5, at 11 am, at the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Church, 5055 Wallings Rd. in Broadview Heights, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
