Obituary of Helen Mary Rasicci
Helen M. Rasicci (nee Irot), of North Ridgeville, OH, formerly of Akron, OH and Tarpon Springs, FL, 92, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Ames Hospice House in Westlake, OH following a short illness. Helen was born in Monessen, PA then moved to Akron at age 4. She graduated from South High School in Akron in January 1941. Helen's first fulltime job was at the Coca Cola Bottling plant in Akron, OH where she met her future husband, Arthur. After marrying Art in 1951, she stayed at home to raise her four daughters and care for her mother, Victoria Irot. She then worked at Rogers Manufacturing Company in Akron, OH until her retirement. She volunteered at the Akron Civic Theater and for the Summit County Board of Elections until her move to Florida. She returned to Ohio to live out her last years. Helen had a life-long love of animals and a true sense of style in fashion. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and a constant at movie theatres. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; brother Peter Irot of Placentia, CA and sister Mary Gregg of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. She is survived by her four daughters, Victoria Burton (Van) of Brimfield, OH; Denise Rasicci of Japan; Pamela Jezior (Len) of North Ridgeville, OH; and Patricia Kosuth (Paul) of Barberton, OH; four grandchildren, Todd Burton (Kristin), Kellie Dowler, Alexander Kosuth (Valerie Ostrosky) and Lindsay (Jordan) Restaneo; and three great-grandchildren Kalenna and Ryan Jezior, Evelyn Restaneo and all of her nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Chapel, 1990 South Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44301, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery following the service. The family is grateful to all of the staff at the Western Reserve Hospice House (Ames) and Home Services.
