Obituary of Robert J. Gergosky

Robert J. Gergosky, 77, entered into peace on Saturday, March 6, 2010. He leaves his loving wife of 57 years, Josephine (Jo); daughters Linda Wise, Maryann Klein (husband Mike), Patricia Frame (husband Mark); 3 grandchildren Nicole and Bob Klein and Justin Wise; great granddaughter Kayden; Zookie his canine buddy. He leaves lifelong friends George and Joanne Kacsanek as well as his loving extended family and many great friends. Bob was born April 27, 1932 to John and Mary (Shimko) Gergosky in Akron. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1949. He played clarinet for 4 years in the high school Band; 2 years at Kent State University, and also 2 years in the Army. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Bob retired from E. I. DuPont Company after 30 years of service. Bob was a lifetime member of the Jednota Club 553, an avid fisherman and was loved and admired by all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00am at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Private interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Private family calling hours will be held on Tuesday.
