Obituary of Elizabeth Babak

Elizabeth Babak, 82, passed away March 2, at Akron General Medical Center. Born on November 2, 1927 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Henry and Catherine Kelly, Elizabeth had been an area resident since 1947. She was employed by the City of Akron in the Planning Department until her retirement in 1999. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers Henry Jr. and James Kelly. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Joseph and Nanette, John and Patty, and Kenneth Babak; daughters and sons-in-law Catherine and Terry Hunt, Joanne and Rod Carmer, Pat Hull, Diane and Jim Nicholson, and Beth and Buck Mosley; brother Joseph Kelly of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Michael (Holly) DeLisi, Matthew (Melissa) DeLisi, Monte Delisi, Kelly (Shaun) Williams, Timothy Babak, John (Michelle) Serdinak, Shay (Jeremy) Music, Leann Nicholson, Cody Nicholson, Hayden Mosley, and Sophia Mosley; 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St., where a funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm.
