Obituary of Robert Edward Oettinger

Robert E. Oettinger, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a long illness, Wednesday February 24, 2010 He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Robert retired from the B.F. Goodrich Tire & Rubber Co. and Wonder Bread. Mr. Oettinger was preceded in death by his loving mother Anne Serle and father Rudy Oettinger. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Betty A. (Moneypenny) Oettinger; children Joseph W., Beatrice (John) Fonte, Lynn Rodgers, Robert (Tracy) all of Akron, Mary (Chad) Lance of Lakemore, Susan (Rodger) Hughes of Troy, MO, Jennifer (Chad) Sonnhalter of Wentzville, MO; brother Richard (Bonnie); and 12 very special grandchildren. The family would like to give Thanks to our special angel and new friend Hospice Nurse Denise Lyons. The family will receive friends Friday 5-8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., where funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery with military services.
