Obituary of C. Sheldon Hastings

Rev. C. Sheldon Hastings, 90, passed away Thursday February 4, 2010. He was born in Detroit, MI. Sheldon was a minister in the Presbyterian Church for many years most recently as associate minister at the First Presbyterian Church of Barberton. He was active in the Kiwanis Club of London, Canada. Mr. Hastings was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Betty. He is survived by children Miles (Dee) Hastings, Hilary Hastings; and grandchildren Nicholas and Holly Hastings. The family will receive friends Saturday 2-4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. A memorial service will be held Tuesday February 9, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Barberton, 636 W. Park Ave. Interment of ashes will be held at the convenience of the family in Ontario, Canada. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Barberton.
