Obituary of Norma Eileen Conover

Norma E. Conover, 86, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Norma was born August 16, 1923 to Glenn and Clara (Hiltbrand) Talcott in Akron and moved to Wadsworth in 1954. For the last three years, Norma lived at Magnolia Village Care Center in Wadsworth, where she was active in bingo, arts and crafts, book club, and especially Wii Bowling. Norma was known as "The Piano Lady," playing at many area nursing homes for more than 15 years as a member of Interfaith Caregivers Group. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved cat, Sunny. Norma was preceded in death husband Robert "Ted" Conover, and sister Barbara Martell. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her son Mark Conover of Wadsworth and daughter Cathy (Dr. Albert) Feltrup of Green. Her great joy was her four grandchildren Adam (Shannon), Matthew (Anna), Christopher and Megan; and her great-granddaughters Alicia, Randi and Lana. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Deacon Frank Lonteen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Magnolia Village Activities Department, 365 Johnson Rd., Wadsworth, OH 44281.
