Obituary of Michael Aumont

Michael Aumont, 82, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. He was born in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania and was a welding specialist retiring from the Eutectic Corporation after 20 years of service. Mr. Aumont was an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed playing regularly for his friends at the Inn at University Village in Massillon. He was an avid car enthusiast who built and restored Classic Cars and enjoyed golf. The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center and the Inn at University Village for their excellent care. He was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Helen; wife, Ella; brother, John Zemenski; and sister, Lee Wade. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sharon Aumont; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and David Sattler; sister, Margie Stifter; former wife, Carolyn Aumont; grandchildren, Merrily (Jeremy), Kerri, Jimmy, Tracey (Mikeal), Andy, James, Nick and Joseph; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Eva and Grace. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS). Pastor Jeff Wade officiating. Interment at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown, Ohio. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
