Obituary of Vickie A. Wagner
Vickie A. Wagner, born Vickie A. McHenry, 57, passed from our tender touches and into the waiting arms of God on January 13, 2010.
A graduate of Green High School Class of 1970, she lived, loved and laughed in the Akron area all of her life.
Preceded in death by husband, Donald Wagner in 2005; and father, Herbert McHenry, Sr. in 2001; she leaves to mourn her passing loving mother, Patricia McHenry; beloved brothers, Herbert (Joanne) McHenry, Jr., Ed (Barbara) McHenry, Kevin (Kim) McHenry and Mark McHenry; devoted sons, Todd (Maria) Wagner and Donovan (Jennifer) Wagner; daughters, Marci (Allen) Doane, Sheryl (Jack) Miljak and Debbie (Terry) Mackey; brothers-in-law, Bobby (Leanne) Wagner and Eddie (Marilyn Wagner; sister-in-law, Jeanie (David) Reyman; special aunt, Berneitta Kimble; and many nieces and nephews.
We know that Vickie will forever keep in her heart the memory of each of her grandchildren, and because the mere mention of their names could bring such a light into her eyes and a smile upon her face in ways that only they had the power to do, we wish to thank them for their special gift, and mention them by name. Paul, Danielle, Kaitlin, Haley, A.J. and Mia Wagner, Jordan, Mitchell and Jenna Doane, Jacki McGarrity, Stephanie and Jacob Miljak, Candie and Joey Barriault and Craig Mackey; and great-grandchildren, Madison and Jamison McGarrity, Devin Graham and Rhyan Miljak.
The family wishes to extend its gratitude not only to those Doctors whose care allowed us to have so many more years with Vickie, but also to those Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Akron City Hospital's Critical Care Unit who provided such care, comfort and compassion not only to Vickie, but to our family as well; especially in guiding Vickie and us toward the eternal peace she asked for and was gently given. Vickie's faith was her rock and her salvation. Through her faith, our own has been strengthened and we hold fast to her belief and our own prayers that what could not be healed on Earth has surely been healed in Heaven.
A Memorial Service will be held SUNDAY at 5 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
