Obituary of Charles E Yost

-CUYAHOGA FALLS Charles E. Yost Jr., 87, went home to be with the Lord on his birthday, December 28, at Falls Village Retirement Community. Born in Clarksburg, WV in 1922 to the late Charles E. Sr. & Glada B. Yost, Charlie had been a Cuyahoga Falls resident since 1951. He was employed as a rigger for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., retiring in 1985 with over 34 years of service. Mr. Yost served his country as a B-29 turretgunner in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Stow. He was also a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Masonic Lodge #735, where he was a Past Master, as well as being a 32nd Degree Mason. Charlie was also a member, and was a Past Commander, of the VFW Ralph Huff Post in Cuyahoga Falls. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son Rickey Lee in 1987 and his sister Helen. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Martha of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter Roxanne Eye also of Cuyahoga Falls; sister Margaret (Joe) Aimar of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Thomas D. Yost and Jenny Lynn Adkins; his 'Little Angel', great-grandaughter Zoey Nicole Laney, as well as many other extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the staff and nurses at Falls Village for the loving and compassionate care that was given to Charlie during his time there. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11:30 am at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel (at 3rd st., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls), where a Masonic Service will be held at 11:30 am. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation is to follow.
