Obituary of Joe Wiggins

Joe Wiggins, age 84, passed away Wednesday December 2, 2009. He was born in Akron and was a graduate of Hower Vocational School. Joe served in the Army Air Corps during WWII serving in the China, Burma, and India theaters. He was a member of Life Spring Christian Church (South Akron Church of Christ) and retired from the Akron Beacon Journal in 1988. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Pauline. Mr. Wiggins is survived by his daughter Paula Marts; son Randy (Jane) Wiggins: grandchildren Jodi (Craig) Dyer, Melissa (Dan) DePasquale, Keri Seeley, Jason and Amy Wiggins, great grandchildren Bella and Zoe DePasquale and sister in law Wilma Joroski. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home 1990 S. Main St. with Pastor Terrence Baker officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday 10 a.m.- 12 noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Life Spring Christian Church of Akron 1828 Marigold Ave. 44301.
