Obituary of Joseph Louis Belica

Joseph L. Belica, 57, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center. Joe was born October 28, 1952 to Joseph L. and Margaret Ann (Goffee) Belica in Akron and had been an Akron resident his entire life. He was employed by the Kucko Funeral Home until 1974, spent a year at Goodrich and retired from Chrysler with over 30 years of service. He was a life long Bonafide member of Jednota Branch 553 and served as a Board Member for many years. He bowled on the Jednota League and was a member of Eagles Aerie 555. In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his brother Ken, his nephew Keith Caplinger and his great nephew Luke Caplinger; and is survived by his brother Jim (Beth Orth) of Akron; sisters Joanne Jordan of Ellet and Sue Stefan of Canal Fulton; nieces and nephews Joe, Mark, Butch and Shaun Stefan, Jeri (Kelly) Banks and Jenny Caplinger. A Remembrance Service will be held Thursday 7:00 Pm at the Anthony Funeral Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS). Please bring a memory of Joe to share during the service. The family will receive friends Thursday 5 to 7 Pm at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
