Obituary of Ann Pecko

Ann Pecko, 90, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Akron General Medical Center. Ann was born January 3, 1919 to Charles and Susan (Jacobs) Polonic in Akron and had been an Akron resident her entire life. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Paul Ladies Guild, Firestone Park Prime Timers; K of C Wives and Jednota Branch 553. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe in 2003 after 63 years of marriage, and is survived by her children, Joanne Skadra of Wadsworth, Jerry (Becky) Pecko of Barberton, Susan (James) Ross of N. Canton; Joe (Kitty) Pecko of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Maureen (Bernie) Prebynski of Auburn, Ind.; grandchildren, Lisa Skadra, Joan (Dave) Peter, Mike (Mary) Skadra, Jennifer, Gary and Ann Skadra, Jim (Nicole) Ross, Nate (Melissa) Ross, Krista and Michael Ross, Joey, Julie and Jeremy Pecko and Joe, Brandon and Ethan Prebynski; 11 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St (please note new address), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where a Ladies Guild Rosary will be held at 4:15 p.m. Donations may be made to VNS Hospice or St. Paul Building Fund.
