Obituary of Rita R. Cooley

-GRAND BLANC, MI Rita R. Cooley, 82, went home to be with the Lord on October 31st, at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 27, 1926 to the late William and Adeline Pagnuca, Rita had been an Akron resident for over 60 years, before moving to Grand Blanc, MI in 2008. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Akron. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband Billy in 2008 and her grandson Gregory Cooley. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Deborah Cooley of Raton, NM; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Paul Mortier of Grand Blanc, MI; grandchildren Michelle (Alex) Hartley of CA, Matthew, Megan, Madeleine, and Mitchell Mortier all of MI, Jocelyn (Scott) Kucera of MD, and Amanda Almony of MD; great-grandson Lucas Kucera; nephew Albert (Marie) Cooley of Akron, and special friend Gerty Lequier of MI. The family will receive friends THURSDAY from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held SATURDAY at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Rev. Frank Lonteen officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.Donations in Rita's memory may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
