Obituary of Patricia A. Rodgers

Patricia A. Rodgers, 70, of Rockford, IL, died Saturday, July 4, 2009 after a long illness. Born July 16, 1938, in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, the daughter of Herman and Leona (Doctor) Church. She married Michael Rodgers, Sr. on June 3, 1967 in Akron, OH; he predeceased her June 7, 1982. Pat was a daycare provider for many years before becoming ill. Pat enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Survived by children, Michael (Connie) Rodgers, Jr., Dawn (Gerald) May, both of Rockford, IL, and James (Heather) Rodgers of Winnebago, IL; grandchildren Matthew May, Marissa May, and Jewel Waller; brothers James Church of Florida, Thomas (Glenda) Church of South Carolina, and Robert Church of Washington, and nieces and nephew. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home, 247 Stow Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
