Obituary of Magdalena Volk

Magdalena Volk Magdalena Volk passed away peacefully Thursday October 1, 2009 at age 82. She was born in Gorjani, Yugoslavia and at age 24 came to the United States with her husband. "Leni" was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the German Family Society. Leni was preceded in death by her parents Josef and Maria Quintus, her sisters Anna Heinrich of Germany and Marie Scherer of Akron. She is survived by her husband Martin; sons Andy (Eddie) of Colorado, William (Cindy) of Akron and Joseph (Abby) of Virginia; grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Bryan, Cortney, Christina and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
