Obituary of Catherine Bonacci
Catherine (Kay) Bonacci, 92, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009.
She was born in Akron and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in 1980 after 28 years of service and attended Hammel Business School. Kay enjoyed polka dancing, traveling, gardening and being with her family. "God saw her mountain was hard to climb, so he closed her weary eyes and whispered peace be thine."
Preceded in death by parents, Mark and Dora (Patric) Matulin; husband, Bernard in 1950; three sisters; and three brothers; Kay is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Donald Metzgar of Texas, Margaret Bonacci of Akron and Tina and Edward Agnoni of Doylestown; sister, Helen Grabrovac of Elyria; and grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Agnoni and their daughters, Cori and Monica Agnoni of Doylestown, Lisa and Jason King of Delaware, Ohio, Angie and Jereme Willig of Cleveland and Donnie Metzgar and his daughter, Amanda Metzgar of Texas. Special thank you to her nephew, Tom Matulin for all of his support and kindness given throughout the years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Fr. Edward Burba officiating.
