Obituary of Lillian Mary Spreng

Lillian M. Spreng (nee Germano), 93, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born on June 14, 1916 and was a lifelong resident of the Kenmore area and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. During the war, she worked at Goodyear Aerospace and then became a licensed cosmetologist. Lillian was a fun loving and caring person and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Gino and Anna Germano; brothers, Guy and Arrigo; and brother-in-law, William Spreng. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Raymond; sisters-in-law, Coletta Spreng of California, Isabelle Germano of Georgia and Rose Germano of Copley; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS) and at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Fr. Michael B. Smith officiating. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Interval Brotherhood Home, 3445 S. Main St. Akron, OH 44319.
