Obituary of Marilyn L. Harr

Marilyn L. Harr, 73, went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on August 3, at Akron City Hospital. Born in Akron on July 27, 1936 to the late Bill and Irene Wilson, Marilyn was a lifetime area resident. Marilyn loved to sing and was a former member of the Sweet Adalines. Marilyn enjoyed a simple and spiritual life. She enjoyed the years she spent at Cardinal Retirement Village, where she could always be found participating in all of the activities. Marilyn was a practicing Catholic. She loved Halloween and loved to dress up as a witch every year. Most of all, she loved being with her family and grandchildren. Marilyn will be dearly missed by her sons Steve (Chris) Dimengo of Cuyahoga Falls and David Dimengo of Akron; daughters Suzanne (Al) Leyerle of Akron and Sharry (John) Withrow, also of Akron; brother Jim (Pat) Wilson of Mansfield and sister Linda (Jim) Eckhart of WI; grandchildren Danielle, Kelly, and James Dimengo, Lisa and Maria Withrow, and Joshua, Justin, Tara, and Gabrielle Dimengo and great-grandchildren abigail, Jace, and Logan. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Manor Care and both the ICU and Palliative Care Departments at Summa Health System for the outstanding care that was given to their mother. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church in Akron. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to the N.A.M.I. 2107 Wilson Blvd. Arlington, VA 22201. (Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 330.724.1281, anthonyfh.com)
