Obituary of John Kisbac
John Kisbac, 83, fell asleep in the Lord Sunday, July 12, 2009. He was born in Indiana, raised in Cleveland and lived in Akron most of his life. He was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, Fellowship of St. Simeon, A.R.O.Y. and was a former member and past president of the Orthodox Brotherhood. He was instrumental in establishing the original church fish fry at Presentation of Our Lord Church where he was also a past council member, council president and catering manager. Mr. Kisbac was Commissary Manager for the former Brown Derby Restaurants retiring after 25 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. serving during World War II. Special thank you to the very caring staff of the Memmer and Saunier Buildings at Sumner on Ridgewood Care Center and Hospice. He was preceded in death by wife, Jean (Eugenia); and sister, Ann Voisan. He is survived by daughter, Diane Kisbac; son and daughter-in-law, John and Elizabeth Kisbac; grandchildren, Alexis Kisbac, Rebecca Matheou and her husband Andy; sister-in-law, Mary Moldea; nieces and nephews, Marsha and Dan Moldea, Ron Voisan and Diane (Jim) Holly; and many godchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, 10 a.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church where the body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Rev. Fr. George Treff officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 3 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
