Obituary of Anne Eloizabeth Grisak

Anne Elizabeth Grisak Anne Elizabeth Grisak, 86, went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2009 at Akron City Hospital. Born in Byesville, OH on June 28, 1923, to the late Joseph and Helen (Dolney) Veselenak, Anne had been an Akron resident since 1955. She was a 1940 graduate of Byesville High School. Anne was a member of St Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore. Anna and her late husband John loved to travel the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Europe. Anne was preceded in death by her husband John 'Jack' in 2007; brothers Andrew, George, and Joseph Veselenak and sister Nellie Munich; brother-in-law George Grisak. She is survived by her sister-in-law Wilma Malish; nephews Andy (Vicky) Veselenak and Gene Veselenak all of Byesville, OH, Don (Virginia) Veselenak and David (Juanita) Veselenak, all of Cleveland, and Tim and Nick (Rebecca) Grisak of Akron; nieces Cathy (Joe) Pastre of New Concord, Patty (Hugh) Keating of PA., Janet (Ed) Rock of TX, and Marianne (Bill) Price of Akron; great nephews Nick and Adam (Danielle) Veselenak and Cale Morse; special great-niece & children Karen Coon and Allyssa, Ty, Seth, and Levi, as well as many other great nieces and nephews. Anne will be sorely missed by those named above and by her greater family at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church where she was a longtime member, singing in the choir, as a member of the Altar Aid Society, and as a participant in many church social functions and fundraisers. The family will receive friends TODAY from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., where a Parastas will be held at 7:30 pm. A funeral liturgy will take place Friday at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore, where Anne will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
