Carolyn Semchuck
On Wednesday, June 10th Carolyn Semchuck 86, went home to be with her heavenly Father.
Born on August 10, 1922, in Akron, Carolyn was the youngest of six children of Joseph and Angelina Muccino. Upon graduating from South High School, she was employed by Pflueger's and by Firestone during WW II. Carolyn married her childhood sweetheart in 1948 and was a devoted wife and mother. A parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Carolyn was long time member of the Ladies Guild. She also belonged to the LaGioia Club and Tuesday Morning Friends. Carolyn and Ted, her husband of 61 years, resided in Firestone Park for nearly 40 years. After retirement they wintered in Stuart, FL where she was able to develop her many talents from floral design to painting. In 2001, they moved permanently to St. Petersburg, FL to be close to their children. They were members of Blessed Sacrament Church in Seminole, FL. Carolyn will be truly missed by her family and by her new and life long friends who were touched by her warmth, kindness and sincerity.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ted, daughter, Carol Semchuck-Jenrette and son-in-law, Dave Jenrette, Seminole, FL; son, Ben Semchuck, daughter-in-law Sherry Semchuck, Valrico, FL; Grandchildren, Taryn Jenrette, Kyle Jenrette, Sarah (Chris) Semchuck-Groover, Sam and Grace Semchuck, Jesse (Tiffany) Semchuck, and great-granddaughter, Ava, Salt lake City, Utah.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 6th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist, 1034 Brown St. Akron OH 44301. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery will follow the service.
