Obituary of Robert Edward Danish
-CUYAHOGA FALLS
Robert E. Danish, 73, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 8, 2009.
He was born on April 12, 1936 in Natrona Heights, PA to the late Adolph and Bertha Danish. Bob had been a Cuyahoga Falls Resident for over 50 years. He was retired from Terex Corp. Bob served his country as a proud member of the US Navy, serving on the USS Saratoga, and was a member of the American Legion Post #281 in Cuyahoga Falls. Robert was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13517 and the Edward J. McFadden 4th Degree Assembly #2953. Bob was also a little league coach in Cuyahoga Falls for many years. Robert was an avid animal lover and especially loved his dog Annie.
He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Irene of Cuyahoga Falls; sons and daughters-in-law Robert T. and Paula and Gary and Linda Danish, all of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren Britt, Jordan, Hannah, Connor, and Gannon Danish; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Helen Danish. Bob will also be missed dearly by many other family and friends.
The family would also like to thank the doctors and staff at Akron General Medical Center and the Regency at Barberton Hospital for the care that was given to Robert. Also special thanks to Tom LoIudice, Dr. Jean, and Mark.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel (at 3rd st., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls), where the Knights of Columbus will conduct a rosary at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 am (PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH). Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, where the American Legion Post #281 will conduct military honors. In lieu of Flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to One of a Kind Pets 1699 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44313.
