Obituary of Donald Ralph Slack
Donald Ralph Slack II, 19, passed away suddenly on May 22, 2009. Born in Berea on June 30, 1989, Donnie had been a lifetime Cuyahoga Falls resident. He was a 2007 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. He was currently employed by Cobra Plastics. Donnie was a very fun-loving person. He was famously known for that mischievous gleam in his eye and a smile that lit up the room wherever he went. Donnie loved to play baseball and was part of school and rec teams for 15 years. He was also an excellent musician who played for the marching, orchestra, and jazz bands at Falls High. Donnie was an accomplished saxophone player, but would learn to play any instrument that was needed in the school band. Most of all, Donnie was a wonderful friend to everyone who knew him. Donnie is survived by his loving mother Patricia (Joe Thomas) Slack of Cuyahoga Falls; brother Jonathan Slack and sister Danielle Slack, both of Cuyahoga Falls; grandparents Richard and Stella Gluszek I of Middleburg Heights; great-grandmother Stella Wojtaszek of Berea; aunts & uncles Rick and Martha Gluszek of Middleburg Heights, Lynn and Russ Gory of Strongsville, and Sandi & Steve Borod of Middleburg Heights; close friend and 'brother' Jeff Kuelling and close family friends Jeff and Sue Thomas, as well as many cousins and countless friends. A funeral service will be held Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls at 11:00 am, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
