Obituary of Gordon C. Johnstonbaugh

Gordon C. Johnstonbaugh, 85, passed away Sunday May 31, 2009. He was born in Flint, MI and lived most of his life in Akron. Gordon was a 1942 graduate of Garfield High School. He retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. in 1983. Gordon was a veteran of the Army serving in WWII and a member of VFW Post 3383. Mr. Johnstonbaugh is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Kaye, Ron and Paula; daughter Jill; granddaughters Rhonda, Denise and Dawn and several great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Magnolia Village for their care of Gordon. The family will receive friends Tuesday 12 - 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Private interment of ashes will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
