Obituary of Jon Carroll Salerno

Jon Carroll Salerno, 58, died on May 20, 2009. He was the loving husband of Karen, devoted stepfather of Anthony (Jessica) Lupone and Gina Lupone, and grandfather of Olivia. Jon was a former Moreland Hills councilman, a funeral director, a political consultant, a tireless advocate for the developmentally disabled, and the host of the Memories from Italy radio program for 29 years. Friends may call at the Fioritto Funeral Home, 5236 Mayfield Rd., Lyndhurst on Friday and Saturday, May 22 & 23 from 4-8 pm or at the Anthony & Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd., (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds in Green) on Sunday and Monday, May 24 & 25 from 4-8 pm., where a Parish Wake service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd., Springfield Township, on Tuesday, May 26 at 10 am., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
