Obituary of Theresa M. Byczkowiak

Theresa M. Byczkowiak went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 15, 2009 due to complications after a long, brave and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Poland, Theresa and her husband Joseph of 63 years came to the United States and became citizens in 1950. Theresa worked at General Motors in Lordstown for 20 years retiring August 1, 1990. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Joseph Byczkowiak; four daughters, Anne (Tim) Maselli, Olga (Jim) Moyer, Dorothy (Paul) Labin and her beloved daughter and caregiver, Stephanie Livers. Theresa also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Crystal, Erika and Jenna Livers, Angela (Matt) Bush, Adam (Mary) Labin, Tim Maselli, Jim (Stacey) Maselli, Jeanine Maselli and Tracy, Nickie, Rhonda and Anne Marie Vardon; and 15 great-grandchildren. Theresa will be sadly missed and will be forever in our hearts. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS) where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Fr. Thomas McCann officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the National Alzheimer's Foundation in Theresa Byczkowiak's name.
