Obituary of Rita Margaret Carson

Rita Margaret Carson, 95, a former Yale, Michigan resident, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in Akron, Ohio. She was born Saturday, June 14, 1913 in Riley Township, Michigan, the daughter of the late Edward and Ellen (Foley) Butler. Her marriage to Robert A. Carson was March 7, 1934 in Port Huron. Robert died Thursday, October 18, 2001. She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth (1952) daughter Elizabeth and granddaughters Michelle and Tabitha (1986). Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Patricia of Akron, Ohio and Leo and Sandy of Valley Springs, South Dakota; ten grandchildren: Dennis, Michael, Timothy, Steve, Eileen, Carol, Laura, Wendy, Robert Carson and Brian Campbell, twenty-one great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass in appreciation of the life, family and friends of Rita will be celebrated Wednesday, May 20 at Sacred Heart Church, Yale, Michigan. Fr. Paul Carznota will officiate. Committal will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yale. Her family honors the memory of Rita and invites you to share Tuesday, May 19, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm and 10:00am Wednesday at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale, Michigan.
