Obituary of Thomas Michael Mozik

TJ was taken from us too early. On May 1, 2009 he lost the 2 year battle with cancer at 26 years old. He was born on November 7, 1982, graduated from Springfield High School in 2001, and attended Ivy Tech in Bloomington, Indiana. TJ lived every moment of his life to the fullest. He will always be remembered as a friend to one and all. He delighted everyone with narratives of life and his experiences, using both spoken and written words. TJ was a talented photographer, a seeker of delectable food and a fine dining experience, loved the Windy City, and played a mean hand of poker. His dream was to be a motivational speaker. Words could never capture his spirit, his love, or his impact on anyone who met him. He is survived by his mother Deborah A Ledford; father and step-mother Thomas Mozik Sr and Mary Mendoza; sister Heather Mozik-Gambsy brother-in-law Jeff Gamsby; nephew Jackson Chase, niece Rowyn Eleanor; grandparents JC and Cleo Ledford; great grandmother Juanita Hedden in N. Carolina; aunt and uncle Diane and Dr Chris Kyriakedes and family; aunt and uncle Tim and Kathleen Mozik and family; "his babe", Emily McClain; and a multitude of extended family and friends will always remember him. TJ touched the lives in of everyone he met in one way or another. This young man was loved by many because he loved life so much. TJ you are loved by all and will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place. A Remembrance Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS). The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 7 pm. Donations can be made to Stewart's Caring Place, Hope Walk, 2955 West Market Street, Akron, 44333. "I hope I can take the love with me."
