Obituary of Edward D. Dickey

Edward D. Dickey, age 79, passed away entering the next phase of his life on April 29, 2009. Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on May 23, 1929. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company with 43 years of service. Edward was a 32nd Degree Mason having received his fifty-year award in 2006 from the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio. He was an excellent ambassador for Cuyahoga Falls Lodge 735, and for Masonry in Ohio for the 21st district having visited 88 lodges in four states with his brethren Frank Smith and brethren and dear friend William Connastor. He was master of his lodge three times and served faithfully in many capacities. Preceded in death by his father, David Dickey, mother Icia Stewart and Stepfather William Stewart, and sister Jewel. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Judith, his children Lisa (Park) Walters, David Dickey, Doug (Jill) Dickey and stepdaughters Kristine (Vincent) Woicehovich and Kimberly (Eulic Patterson) Elder; grandchildren Patrick, Cody, Vincent, Hannah, Cody and Tyler who he loved with all his heart. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., where Masionic services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
