Obituary of Jack Blaine Caley
Jack B. Caley, 58, passed away peacefully on April 29, after a short battle with cancer. Born in Akron on March 28, 1951, Jack had been a lifetime area resident. He was a 1970 graduate of Garfield High School. He had been employed by Cargill Salt in Akron since 1970. Jack served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. Jack was a member of the Portage Lakes Eagles. He loved fishing and gardening and was a big Browns fan. Most of all, Jack loved playing with his grandkids and being with his family. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Carol and nephews John and Christopher. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Karen of Manchester; daughters Erin Caley of Copley, Becky (Andy) Lambert of Manchester, and Jackie Caley of Fairlawn; grandchildren Grace, Drew, and Caleb Lambert; brothers Carl (Mary) of Manchester and Larry Caley of Canton; step-mother Shirley Caley; step-sisters Debbie, Sandy, and Cathy and step-brother Rick, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society Northeast Regional Office 525 N. Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406.
