Obituary of Mary S. Clark

Mary S. Clark (Stich), 93, passed away Thursday April 16, 2009. She was born in Arcadia, PA. Mary retired from B. F. Goodrich Tire & Rubber Co. in 1976 with 39 years service. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and Ladies Guild, AARP, Ellet Keenagers, URW Local 5, and the Bereavement Luncheon Group. In honor of her tireless work for St. Matthew Church, Mary was awarded the Spark Plug Award for 1999-2000 and the Woman of the Year for 2004-2005. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by husband Lester Clark, son Paul Hamas, grandson William McClellan, brother Andy Stich, sisters Elizabeth Gasper and Anna Stich. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann and William McClellan; daughter-in-law Charlotte Roaderick; sister Helen Lelenko; sister-in-law Mary E. Stich; grandchildren David McClellan, Anthony Hamas, Scott Hamas; and great grandchildren Shannon and Ryan McClellan, Jenna P. and Bailey M. Hamas, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Before passing, Mary said, "I'm all prayed up; God and I are on good terms. He can have me anytime he wants me. Until then, I'll enjoy each and every minute of my life;"--and she did. Mary loved gardening and had a "green thumb". Her many passions included crafts, dancing and volunteer work. Mary was always lifting people's spirits and making them laugh with her joyful sense of humor. Her sense of fun and loving ways touched all who knew her. Friends jokingly called her "The Energizer Bunny". Mary loved to travel with friends and relatives. She visited many states, Canada, Europe and the Orient. Mary and her daughter were very close and visited in person or by phone almost every day. Mary Ann says, "Mom was mother, father, teacher, best friend, mentor and inspiration to me. She was a wonderful fun loving role model and grandmother. Mary will be greatly missed by her loved ones and many friends".
