Obituary of Violet Hagerman
Violet Hagerman passed away Monday, March 2, 2009. She was born March 24, 1922 in Akron to the late Peter and Helen Kuch.
She retired April of 1984 from the Alsco Anaconda Company after 27 years of service. Violet loved to cook and bake, and enjoyed spending summers fishing on Lake Erie. She was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church. Special thank you to the staff of Maison Aine Care Center for all of their care.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Peter, John, Mike and Charlie Kuch; sisters, Anna Miscoi, Mary Guset and Florence Muntz; sons, John and George Terhesh, Jr. and their father, George Terhesh, Sr. and son, Thomas J. Hagerman, Jr. She is survived by husband of 47 years, Thomas J. Hagerman, Sr.; daughters-in-law, Judy Terhesh and Ruth Hagerman; daughters, Euna and Art Hetrick, Linda and Ralph DiGiulio and Pamela and Walt Pirogowicz; grandchildren, George, III and Cindy Terhesh, Julie and Ed Wilson, Nicole and Nick Hetrick, Doc and Zack Daugherty and Bruce Thomas Hagerman; great-grandchildren, Gregory and Alex Terhesh and Ryan and Nicholas Wilson; several nieces and nephews in Ohio and Michigan; and beloved pets Nipper and Chipper.
Funeral service will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. (PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS). Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Akron Area Alzheimer's Association.
