Sylvia Greskovics
Sylvia Greskovics, 86, went home to be with the Lord on February 24, at The Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn.
Born in Clymer, Pa., on January 1, 1923, Sylvia had been an Akron resident since 1925. She was a graduate of Garfield High School. Sylvia was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a former volunteer at Rockynol Care Center.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Zasadny, Anna Dremack, Helen Wilson, Suzanne Peffer, Verna Batiuk, Margaret Greskovics, and Sister Mario Greskovics; brothers, Michael, John, and Stephen Greskovics. She is survived by sister, Olga Stashkiw of Akron, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
