Obituary of Gerald Jerry Kline

Gerald ``Jerry" Kline Jerry Kline, 60, passed away on February 24, at the Hospice Care Center in Copley, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Akron on May 10, 1948, Jerry had been a lifetime area resident. He was a 1967 graduate of Tallmadge High School and served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War as a U.S. Marine. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Vivian (McBride) Kline; brother, Charles; and niece, Karen Elizabeth Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lois (nee Brunner) of Akron; children, Jeremiah (Jen) Kline of Akron, Anne (Josh) Osburn of Akron, Josh (Leah) Kline of Barberton, and Veronica Kline of Akron; brothers, James (Jenny), Jeff (Sheryl), David (Susan), and Dan (Susan) Kline; and sister, Sue (Dan) Capp; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Mildred Brunner. Jerry also leaves behind, the light of his life, his grandchildren, Madison and Tyler Osburn and Jordyn Kline, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Marc E. Nelson and staff, Dr.'s Haas and Rehmus, and the entire staff at the McDowell Cancer Center for the loving care and compassion that was given to Jerry during his illness. The family will receive friends TODAY from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, where military honors will be conducted.
