Obituary of Marie A. Cannon

Marie A. Cannon 86, of St. Cloud, FL. formerly Akron, OH. passed away peacefully November 18, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Martin Cannon Sr., son, James Martin Cannon Jr.; sister, Gladys Smith; and her parents, Albert and Juanita Kessel. She will be missed by her daughter, Ann M. Stockum of St. Cloud, FL.; brother, David W. Kessel; daughter-in-law, Nancy Andersen of Santa Clara, CA.; four grandchildren, SPC Justin E. and Lindsey Miller, Melissa and Thomas Brackett, Natalie and Delia Cannon; two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Brittany Brackett; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends. Marie was born in Akron, Ohio and she Graduated from Garfield High School in 1939 and from Akron City Hospital School of Nursing in 1942. She worked in Hospitals, Public Health, Nursing Homes and Home Health Nursing. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Kenmore. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, she loved to play cards, she was involved with the community and always willing to help when someone was in need. She made countless Christmas Stockings for new babies pouring her love into each one. Marie was an Angel on earth, she touched so many lives and we were blessed to have her in our lives. There will be a Funeral Mass at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2124 16th Street, SW, Akron, OH 44314 and Graveside Services immediately following at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH 44273.
