Obituary of Mildred R. Lytle
Mildred R. Lytle, 87, passed away peacefully November 16, 2008 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley after a brief struggle with cancer.
She lived her entire life in Akron. During World War II, she was a "Rosie the Riveter" building Corsiar at Goodyear. She was a life long member of Firestone Park United Methodist Church and was active in the Firestone Park AARP.
She was preceded in death by husband, Harry (Bus) M. Lytle; daughter, Phyllis A. Lytle; parents, Russell and Martha Reed; brother and sister-in-law, Charles R. and Mary Reed; and sister, Dollie M. Hall. She is survived by sister and brother-in-law, LaVonne T. and Bud Crawley; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION) in Akron. Rev. Max Beery officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends TODAY from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Firestone Park United Methodist Church or Visiting Nurse Hospice Care Center in Copley.
